Monica Bustos, Graduate Intern (she/her)
Monica is a lesbian, Latina and eldest daughter currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Social Work. She works collaboratively with each client to build an individualized therapy experience that provides affirmation for exploring identity and navigating familial relationships, among other interpersonal dynamics. Monica firmly believes that laughter and joy play an important role in the healing process, and more broadly in one’s personal narrative. She invites individuals to explore their creativity and incorporates art-based therapeutic modalities.
Her background includes community-based work supporting immigrant-identified individuals and survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault in adulthood, to feel more grounded and safe in their bodies. She also provides space for clients navigating anxiety & depression, and patriarchal-related stress and trauma.
