Katie holds a BA from Cornell University and an MSW from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College.

Katie is a queer-identified clinician whose approach to psychotherapy aims to help clients achieve their goals by fostering a safe climate in which to cultivate a strong interpersonal therapeutic relationship rooted in active engagement and radical honesty. Her background in the arts and involvement in myriad subsets of the LGBTQ community lends itself to creative interplay in the therapeutic alliance. Her approach is eclectic, integrating psychodynamic and CBT modalities, as well as mindfulness. Katie's fields of interest include gender and sexuality, HIV/AIDS, aging, sex work, creative blocks, family conflict, coping skills, ADHD, depression and anxiety.

At our practice, Katie likes working with people with anxiety, depression, and LGBTQIA parents. She is a therapist who works with individuals, typically 30 and older, or those in their late 20s who are navigating similar life transitions and challenges often associated with middle & later adulthood.
