Out-of-Network Insurance & Reimbursement

Even though we are out-of-network providers, you may still have benefits that reimburse you for 50-80% of our fees.Ask your provider, “What is your reimbursement rate for out-of-network procedure code 90834?”. If you are looking for couples therapy, ask them, “What is your reimbursement rate for out-of-network procedure code 90847?”.

How Out-of-Network Works:

1. Pay us directly at the time of service.

2. We provide a superbill automatically sent via client portal at the end of the month. If you need more frequently just ask.

3. Submit the superbill to your insurance for reimbursement.

4. Insurance reimburses you directly.

Our fees range from $60 – $370 per 50-minute session and vary depending upon which therapist we match you with.

Intern Rates:

- Individual therapy (50 min): $60 per session

- Couples therapy (50 min): $60 per session

- Extended sessions (90 min): $100 per session

Sliding Scale Availability:

We want to provide access to quality mental health care. We reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots (reduced rates based on income) for clients experiencing financial hardship. We also offer sliding scale sessions for those who have the means to pay above the standard rate, allowing our sliding scale to increase accordingly. Please note our sliding scale slots are not pro bono slots.

Sliding scale rates depend on:

- Household income

- Number of dependents

- Other financial obligations

To inquire about sliding scale options, mention this during your free consultation. We’ll work with you confidentially to find a sustainable rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer a free first session?

We provide a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and ensure we're a good fit. The first full therapy session is a paid appointment.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes! Therapy is an eligible healthcare expense, and we provide receipts that work with all HSA/FSA accounts.

What if I lose my job or I have financial changes?

We’re here to help! We can discuss sliding scale options, switching to out-of-network reimbursement, or adjusting the frequency of sessions. We prioritize your care and will work with you through financial changes.

Why don’t you take my insurance?

Being in-network with insurance involves contracts that can limit our clinical flexibility and often result in lower-quality care with higher caseloads. Leading to provider burnout. We’ve carefully decided to keep our caseloads at a level that allows us to provide all our clients with more tailored care that aligns with our practice model while keeping rates accessible through sliding scale options.
