I am interested in how people connect with one another, especially when feeling stressed or "stuck," as well as what happens when we move beyond binary thinking towards more nuanced perspectives. Much of my experience lies in working with adolescents & young adults, particularly queer people, people of color, and those who have experienced trauma. I believe therapeutic relationships can be powerful sites of co-creation that make healing possible, and I strive to create an anti-oppressive, non-judgemental space to allow for that healing.
Andi González is interested in fostering safer spaces of healing, particularly in the areas of sexuality, gender and relationships with others and self. With a history of sexual health advocacy, sex education, and relationship counseling, Andi explores self-determination/agency with service-users to delve more into the complexities of intimacy and desire. Ultimately, they hope to sustain a helping environment to further develop insight into thoughts and behaviors in order to build upon individuals’ growth.
