Individual Therapy
In individual therapy, I work with people to address various mental health concerns, including some common reasons people write about anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, sexuality, relationship issues, etc. In my experience, I have noticed that people are not often aware that the "symptoms" are coming from a system, the system we call our personality or the "I" that we identify with on a consistent basis. We focus on internal dynamics and external dynamics that are leading to distress. Although we can’t control all of the things around us, by noticing our internal dynamics, we can find a way forward and move out of states of hopelessness. Therapy is not a magic trick, and I don’t want to fool anyone into thinking that it is, although being able to be consistently present with your emotions and thoughts without being overwhelmed all the time-well that can feel magical.
Relationship and Couples Therapy
I work with partners to improve their communication and deepen their emotional connection. I helps the partnership identify and express their emotions and attachment needs, while also teaching them how to communicate those needs to their partner and address issues like tension, pleasure, sexual mismatches, arguments, opening up relationships, family building, infidelity, communication breakdowns, and conflict resolution. My goal is to help couples strengthen their bond and build a foundation for a fulfilling future together
Sex Therapy
Sex therapy is for people regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, or relationship orientation, with a wide range of sexual concerns, navigate situations, understand the changing of our desires and rediscover pleasure that doesn't just live in your bedroom.
My Approach
As a therapist, I take a trauma-informed approach to my process, recognizing that past experiences can shape our present reality while also believing that there is an alternative way of being. I believe in meeting people where they are at, not where I think they should be.
My heritage has deeply shaped my understanding of healing, resilience, and the interconnectedness of all beings. I draw inspiration from the wisdom of my ancestors, acknowledging their enduring strength and the importance of honoring history. Through my work, I strive to integrate traditional communal healing knowledge with contemporary therapeutic approaches, providing a holistic and culturally relevant experience for my clients.
